  1. Finished off a bottle of Bowmore Islay 12-year-old. I found it very much to my liking. It was somewhat honey-sweet, which usually turns me off, but was just smoky enough to make it work. Solid 85/100. I think it was in the $40 range. That's US$40, not money with a picture of a duck or the monarch of another country on it.

    1. Hey, Phil! Good to hear you are drinking good scotch! I am a big fan of Bowmore, it makes and exceptional cigar/pipe scotch! I am partial to smoky/peaty scotches like Bowmore, Caol Ila, Ardbeg, etc.; For the price, Bowmore 12, Ardbeg 10, Caol Ila 12 and Kilchoman Machir Bay are tough to beat!
